Images as signatures
I've noticed some members have images as their signatures. How can I get an image as my signature and is there any limit to how big the images can be?

You can create an image, or find one on websites that cater to social media and forums/boards. Usually the size is a board by board rule.
Once you have your image, you upload it to a photo album site. *** You will find a list of sites you can and can't use in this thread:

Then you add the image link to your signature box in your Control Panel ... Miscellaneous Settings ... Forum Signature.

Hi Talira,
The image for signatures has to have a valid URL before you can use it.
Abload.de allows uploading without creating an account which is the ultimate in protecting your privacy.
The site is in German, but most of the modern browsers give you the option of translating the page into English.

Gifyu is another good free site to use and it is in English.
I pay for Fotki and am really liking Fotki, but you must pay them about $24 per year if you want to share your picture on a message board.

You don't have to join Tiny Pic to upload an image, but you need to bookmark the image page for safekeeping.

I have done well with TinyPic in the past, but we need to remember it is owned by Photobucket. So far, TinyPic still works.

I miss the URLs including the username and album titles. Most sites add numbers to image titles because only the image title changes from image to image. I really miss PBs, but I won't pay for something that should be making money from their ads.

Hi Talira, Yes you can use PD pics in a signature. I use Wikimedia Commons, pixabay, and Photopin when looking for pictures I can use without worrying about lawyers.

You can download the images to your computer and upload them to your online photo album. I doubt the websites would appreciate anyone hotlinking to them though. You can check with their site to see what they have to say about such things.
