Swordswomen of the Silver Screen

Find out about classic and current movies and TV shows featuring scenes in which women duel with a sword.

More intimate than guns, more graceful than hand-to-hand, swordplay is considered perhaps the most romantic form of combat and self-defence. Sword fighting is making a big comeback, thanks to recent feature films such as the new "Zorro" movies, "Casanova", and the "Pirates of the Carribbean" series, and TV shows such as "Young Blades", "Elisa di Rivombrosa" and even "Xena: Warrior Princess". And more and more, we're seeing women taking up the blade in onscreen duels of honor, or even just for fun.

I had some help with the board layout as it is now. It was fairly basic when it first started a year ago this month. Diana Williams deserves much of the credit for designing the current layout about two months ago, and she owns her own board as well ( [sign in to see URL] ).
Thank you for the positive feedback. Karma (+). emoticon
