Hi Pat,

I'm so sorry it took me this long to reply. My schedule has made it difficult to keep up.

Since it only happens to some people and not others, I wonder if it's a hop between you and Runboard. To diagnose this, it would be helpful for everyone who's experiencing these issues to run a traceroute and PM the results to me.

To run a traceroute:

Hit the Windows key on your keyboard, and type in 'command'. What you want is the 'Command Prompt'.

Type in the following:

tracert [sign in to see URL]

Hit the 'Enter' key on your keyboard.

After it stops and says 'Trace complete', right-click inside the command prompt interface and choose 'Select all'.

Hit the 'Enter' key on your keyboard again. This will copy everything to your clipboard.

Go [url=[sign in to see URL] click on 'Compose PM', paste the results in, and send it to me.

Edit to add: If anyone has trouble PMing me because of the issue, they can also send their traceroute results in a private message to our Facebook account, ]here. Make sure to click on the 'Message' button and paste the results into the little chat box at the bottom of the page so it will remain private, instead of pasting it in like a status.

You right click, inside the tracer route, and choose "Select All". That copies it so that you can paste it.


I have to be honest. I always had problems with this step, too, and I ended up doing a screen shot of my results. If you know how to do a screen shot and are having problems copying and pasting, do that, but then you have to get a picture to Lesa. They don't simply copy and paste.

Ha, ha! I know this is not a computer literate answer, but it is in your mouse. Lesa will holler about me saying that. It is really in the computer somewhere. However, it is in the mouse to me. It means you copied it and it is in the mouse. Then you take the mouse and paste it. Right click with mouse and choose paste.

In your mouse. Right click your mouse and choose paste from the menu. When you choose paste you get what was in the clipboard.

Edited to add: You paste it into a PM to Lesa.

If you want a geek answer, you will have to wait for Lesa.

It's not in your mouse. emoticon

You won't see the clipboard. The clipboard is just a holding place for the last thing you copied.

To copy a trace route, select all, then hit 'Enter' on your keyboard. Hitting 'Enter' is what copies the stuff that is selected.
