Public "Board of the ___" contests
Time constraints and a dramatic slow down in participation have forced me to close all " community-based contests."
I want to thank each person who has supported and worked on the contests. Each of you deserves more than a thank you for your efforts, but it is all I have to offer at this point.

It is a sad day to see the participation slow down so drastically. But the world moves on to the next newest thing, and that's just the way of it.
Thanks for adding me to the staff here. It helped distract me during my Mom's health decline and death. I appreciate being a small part of the contest team.

I want to thank Pastor Rick and all of our staff and friends who have put so much time and effort into these contests. I know it hasn't been easy, and I also understand what it's like to have to juggle work, family, Runboard, and other personal interests and obligations.
Thor and I are still hoping to give Runboard a major overhaul. In fact, we were discussing this less than a week ago. I know, we have made announcements about development plans before, and things haven't progressed as much as we hoped, which is why I'm not making an official announcement about it. I just want you all to know that Runboard isn't going anywhere anytime soon, in case anyone was worried about that.

Pastor....I can totally understand this. I've felt it coming for a long time.
But like JOX, I thank you all for having me on the staff.....It was wonderful helping when I had my own site and, again like Jox, it kept my mind busy after the death of my little sister, and two brain surgeries of our son.....it was a good thing to be able to come here and help people.
Lesa.....Please tell Thor I said thank you too....for him making such a wonderful place that became my virtual home...
I am glad to hear that RB is not going anywhere...

I want to give Susa and Jox a special thanks for keeping the contest going as long as they did, while PR's plate was too full to work on them.
I remember the early days of this contest, when there were so many moderators running it, and so many boards to choose from, they were finding so many boards that they had lists of boards for weeks in advance. However, as the number of active boards and active RDS team both dwindled, I don't know how Susa and Jox kept up with it for as long as they did.
Susa has also been super helpful to me, while my own plate has been full. We made her a global admin over the summer, and she has been helping a lot behind the scenes.
This is not to diminish the work of all the past RDS team. You, Queeny, being one of them. Thank you for that, and also for always popping in at Support and letting people know that someone would be along to answer their questions there.
Again, thank you all. 
Oh, and Queeny, I will be sure to thank Thor for you.

I have to admit, I was beginning to worry that Thor would have to shut the place down. Not that he would want to, but that he would have to. Good to know I don't have to worry about that. Can't wait to see what's coming.

Jox, I'll be sure to thank Thor for you, too. I'm glad I could ease your mind about this place sticking around. With dwindling activity and the lack of recent developments, and now ending the contests, it's understandable that some people may worry, so I wanted to set everyone's mind at ease about that.

Sad to hear of the news, but makes sense since message-boards are not as big as they were ten years ago  Thank you very much for putting them on for this long anyway!!

Yep, that is very exciting and relieving to know!! I know I'm not the best at checked in here every day, but I still use Runboard in some way or another each day, so I still need it  Thanks for letting us all know that
