Re:
Morning everyone. It's a beautiful day here in NYC. A little cool but the sun is shining. I have my normal Saturday routine, errands and laundry. Hope you are all having a good start to the day! Pastor Rick, hope you get to sleep in. You had a late night
Today is Sorry Charlie
Have you ever been rejected? For anything? Sure you have! We all have. Sorry Charlie Day is for all of us who have been spurned, and yet somehow survived it.
Take a minute today and reflect upon a past dejection. Then, smile with he realization that "_ _ it happens....to all of us!"
It is also Plan your Epitaph Day lol
Plan Your Epitaph Day is a day is a little bit morbid for my liking. My first thought was who would create this day? And, why? I don't want to think about it, let alone plan it.
However.............
When you stop to think about it, maybe it's best if you do it. You never know what a relative or friend may put on your tombstone once you're gone. Or, worse still, what if they "don't" say anything?
While we're young, we think this is a long ways away. As we age, and get wiser, more of us consider getting directly involved with our epitaph, as well as all of the details of our demise.
So, if you need a little nudge to plan your epitaph, let today be the day.
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. ~Les Brown

Re: Morning!
My epitaph is easy "Born twice, died once, still looking for the best"
One of the folks I helped in the past decided to pay it forward and donated $131 dollars to the church. He says we helped him get back on his feet years ago...

Re: Morning!
Good Monday my Friends.
Well, today would have been my little Sister, Karen's Birthday. I sent her up a Birthday wish with the raising of the sun this morning.
As for us, the weekend was okay......Hubby helped one of Mom's Friends, get her computer to work with her wireless, while I stood in the cold with the guy from Les Schwab tires, changed out all 6 of the RV batteries. 4 that run the house and 2 that are used to run the diesel truck that is what the "RV" is sitting on. $776 later....*faints* Maintenance can be very expensive. And we still have to get the title and register it here....and get a new semi truck tire for it. ALL before we can even use it this year. We'd sell it, but we owe way more than it's worth now! LOL Anywho.....having dinner with Mom and Dad tonight. They might need some company...catch you all when I can.

Re: Morning!
Good Tuesday April 9th, my friends!
Well the winds have finally died down a bit. And the clouds are much less. Might be a decent day. I have to take my youngest cat, Patches to the vet today, he's developed a 'cough'....need to find out. Sure it will be expensive, they usually are! *rolls eyes* Other than that, catching up on some laundry and a bit of light cleaning.

Re:
Afternoon everyone. Been a busy morning at work. Taking a quick lunch break to check in and say hi. Hope everyone is having a good day so far.
Today is Name Yourself Day
It is your chance to give yourself whatever name you'd like...for a day. If you like your name, then change your name for just today. If you don't like your name, use today to select a new name for life!
Participating in Name Yourself Day is simple and easy. Go ahead, give it a try. Change your first, or middle, or last name. Or, change them all. Give yourself a cool and catchy nickname. Once you've selected your name, you've gotta communicate it to all of your family and friends. This could prove to be the hard part. It will likely take time for your new name to catch on.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters. ~Alan Simpson

Re:
Morning everyone. We've made it to Wednesday. Yea... I'm off to work now. Awesome Job Pastor Rick! I am impressed.
Today is National Sibling Day. It is a day to appreciate and cherish your brothers and sisters. Siblings are truly a special blessing that we probably all too often take for granted. They are often our best friends and supporters through life. Another reason to celebrate is that not everyone is lucky enough to have siblings. Their lives are significantly different growing up, and throughout life.
Celebrate National Sibling Day in a variety of ways. It's a great time to be thankful for your sibling. But, most importantly get in touch with your siblings. Visit them if they live nearby. Call them, if they live far away. Send them a card, a letter, gifts, or flowers.
If you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul. ~Drew Barrymore

Re:
Morning all.. Ok that was a short spring. Back to rainy and cold this morning. Ryan, I'd say that might count as a contribution to Sibling Day. Have a good one gang.
Today is Barbershop Quartet Day
It honors four guys with great voices. This day celebrates the founding of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 11, 1938. Barbershop Quartets date back to the early 1900's in America.
Barbershop quartets are a popular musical group. Musical selections are usually happy and light hearted, and allow full utilization of the voice ranges and skills of these great singers. Competitions at local and national levels encourage these groups to flourish.
Celebrate today by listening to a Barbershop Quartet, either live or recorded.

Re: Morning!
Good Thursday My friends!
Well yesterday Mom and Me ventured into Boise without the boys. Hit the mall, Ross, Costco, WinCo and had lunch at Olive Garden. She just feels so special when we can do that.
We had a ball. The weather was beautiful, and we found some great deals. Mostly we just had fun...
Today, I'm cleaning and changed the cat box. Garbage day. Might get outside when it warms up and take some pictures of my flowers.
