The Case of the Dead Pirate!
I am creating a game that is designed to work with the Runboard message boards (using features you have NEVER seen before) and will be based "very loosely" on the game "Clue."
Instead of a mansion with "rooms" there will be a island with different areas.
The basic format for the "Clue" game only allowed 6 players but this game will allow up to 24 players (like I could actually get that many people interested in playing).
The first game will be to test the feasibility of the rules so everything will be subject to change as we determine the best way to play the game...
Anyone interested in helping out or being a "beta tester" for the game?
The goal is to actually begin play of the first game on April 27, 2014.

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
I finished the "player cards" and set up "secret forums" for the individual players today (whew)... If you want to check out my design efforts on the cards they can be found as a group over here.

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
You probably know that dominoes/dice are referred to as 'bones.' You could probably use them in the game in some way, if you haven't thought of it already.

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
I have part of the "movement rules" figured out now... still working on the "areas and weapons."

I forgot to add that you could use that image trick some use where their avatar image changes with each reload. So, if you go with dice, you'd have six images that changed with each reload ... like the player was rolling the dice. Could have two/three sets of images. *shrugs* Of course, the players would be on the honor system.

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
I am working on multiple fronts now. The rules for movement are in their 3rd draft (over here) and then there is my ongoing work with the weapons (over here).
OldWarrior, did you get my email?

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
It's looking really good. Your points system works better than the dice images, as you can be sure no one is cheating. (Not that they would. )

OldWarrior, did you get my email?
About being a special member of something (being subtle here ) Or was there another email?
Or, is this a test to see if I was reading this topic?

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
That's the one. Runboard's system doesn't give the same flexibility as normal email so I was wondering if it went through and if you were able to get the file mentioned.

Re: The Case of the Dead Pirate!
I am also looking for "pirate location" pictures to put on the cards. They have to be someting you might see in the early 1700's on a island and the picture size has to be 150px wide x 139 or 138px high. Posting here just in case someone wants to help out on this part...
