a member forgets his password

Hi there,

How can member who forgets his password gain a new one? Last week, I had a member who had forgotten her password. She mailed runboard for a new one, but never received it. What can we do?

When you enter the Runboard page, or your boards front page, there's a link that says :
Forgotten password??

Click that and it will be send through email.
It is, btw, some that blocks email send from Runboard ( I am not sure which ones ) emoticon

I believe the ones that blocked were Comcast and Verison? I think anyway.

AOL was causing trouble, as well.

If she is using an email address with one of those, the password retrival will most likely not work. Runboard is sending out the email, but the providers are blocking it so that customers won't even see it in the spam folder. (I take it she checked hers?)

Try contacting their help desk, customer support etc. I'm sorry that I can't help more than that. Not even Runboard Staff can see a member's password, let along change it.

Does she get any runboard email?

Could you check that before she creates a new account? (Members should be getting postnotification emails if they use that function, and notifications for Inbox PMs. Of course, email PMs should also function.)

Maybe adding Runboard to the whitelist will help, too. If Hotmail has such.
