Is there a way to...
Confirm someone's age, or is it a matter of faith?
I have opened an 18+ forum on my board and i want to make sure I can regulate it properly.

Difficult.
You can ask for an email with a scan of their ID or driver's license, but basically you're on trust.
I find a birthday thread useful, though, especially if you enter the year as well.
