It's The Bible
Hi,
A friend of mine started a message board http://www.runboard.com/bitsthebible to go with his website http://www.itsthebible.org. The problem is he works like 65-70 hours a week so he hasn't promoted it very much. How can I help him get some members who really post? I think he made a good first guess on what to do but for the last year it seems like all he does is work and sleep...

It's a friendly looking board. 
It could help if you put a signature into your link.
(use this code: It's the Bible )
Visit other Christian boards on Runboard, make friends there, and those people will come to visit your boards.

Thank you for your suggestions, I was going to ask you about both the signature and code thing (I have not used message boards before, unless you count old BBS FIDOnet). I see the code but what is a signature and how do I add it?

Thanks to everyone of you that have helped me get the It's The Bible message board up and running. I don't remember who suggested what but the lady that sent me the free HTML Color-picker link was a real life saver because it allowed me to figure out what was what (text wise) in the control panel.
I also want to thank Free04 at his
Christian World message board for letting me use his html code for the pull-down menu and Winks at her
CoffeeZone
message board for her help with my first forays into the CSS zone.
There is a lot left to do but so far I really like how the board is turning out. Thanks again...

Your board is looking quite nice, Pastor Rick. The colors are very easy on the eyes, and I like to use textured backgrounds myself.

Brother Rick;... how sweet of you to mention those who have helped you. Thank you!
And btw;...I love the colors of your board and the textured background!
One thing's for sure too, no one can help as good as the people at runboard support forums.
Side Note:
I think Lesigner Girl is the most thorough and friendly of all the runboard assistance. They should have a recognition statement now and then for those who put lots of effort and time in helping those of us who aren't as knowledgeable with our boards.
I learn everything the hard way and seldom ask for help, but I do read the ones who have been helped by these gracious people.
So I'll take this opportunity to thank you (runboard support people) for your relentless efforts and being here for us.

I have worked hard to make It's The Bible a nice place to visit and we are growing, adding new forums and such but if it wasn't for you coming by and visiting, sharing and helping each other the board would just sit there like it did for about 6 months. Thank you for your kind support.
